Eric’s career includes over 25 years of leadership in the application of science and technology in sectors including advanced manufacturing, space science, aerospace and wireless communications. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration, a combination that has served him well seeking science-based solutions for business.
Eric’s accomplishments include serving as the Project Engineer for Canada’s first interplanetary space instrument (a mission to Mars), and as the General Manager of COM DEV Wireless, an internationally recognized visual factory. Eric has his Institute of Corporate Directors designation and is an active board member of Genome Canada, the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation, and Innoventures Canada.
Eric was appointed Executive Director and CEO of the Research and Productivity Council in 2004. RPC is a research and technology Organization providing analytical services and contract research to industry and all three levels of government. RPC has been testing hemp since the late 1990s, and began testing medical cannabis in 2013. It has grown to become a leading provider of analytical services for the Canadian cannabis industry.
